Going SOLO
Pearl of the Film: Trust Your Instincts
STAR NERDS!!! you will LOOOOVVEEEE Solo: A Star Wars Story!!!
The movie, directed by Ron Howard, fills in the back story of how Han is well, Han, the rogue act first, think never smirky confident loveable Han.
We learn how he met Chewie, got his first blaster, came aboard the Millennium Falcon and made the infamous Kessel Run.
The old and new characters in Solo are brilliantly played by the likes of Woody Harrelson, Emilia Clark (MOTHER OF DRAGONS!!), Paul Bettany, Donald Glover, Thandie Newton and more...
The pace is fast and fun watching these clever, rogue mavericks do their thing. I thought I could never watch anyone but Harrison Ford play Han and well, this younger version played by Alden Ehrenreich won me over.
There's a rebellion brewing which may be the most brilliantly captured by the female droid L3-37, who's all about equality and takes a bit of the current political climate and plays it out with the droids. Loved her.
The new slate of Star Wars films are just plain awesome fun. Disney knows what they're doing with this stuff...
The best way to see a Star Wars film is in a theater with Star Wars fans and a big old bucket of popcorn. Feel free to cheer your way through.
Thank you Disney for inviting my family to experience Solo at your advance screening.
Freakin loved...
